i really want the Scotch to qualify for a tournament, Kevin. 1998 is too long as they have great fans. Losing all games and home before the postcards is also good. :) But this is Scotland, They will contrive to need a draw to go through, and still fuck it up. :D

Celtic showing Manchester City what a proper Treble looks like. Now the Glasgow Giants can go on to conquer Europe next season.

Aye.

A few of my pals are Celtic fans, and I think only one of them is for the appointment. One (who's a bit tipsy now) is singing his name in WhatsApp messages to me, but yesterday before alcohol, he was certainly not up for Lenny being appointed boss. I really think they should have gone for someone else. I'd like to see Neil have another crack at England or a European job. You never know with these type of friend of a friend posts, but a pal of mine who works with Celtic hospitality thinks Lennon still supports Northern Ireland, and wants that job at some point in his career. I asked him twice, and he said yes, NI - although they've got their own fab boss in Michael O'Neill right noo.

As for the game, Hearts huffed and puffed a bit and wee Hickey at 16 years old was excellent, a great wee prospect for the future. Mikey Johnstone (is eligible for Ireland) although he's played for us at every level up to 21s, and I think we'll play for Scotland at some point. Still not quite the finished article, but if (no laughing at the back there :D ) we make it to the Euros, I think he would be a big part of the squad.

Also, more Saltires in the Celtic end than Hertz today! Hertz really are the Coke Zero version of Rangers, so no tears shed for them from me tonight, and TBH, Aberdeen deserve the fourth European spot for a decent season and just missing out on third by goal difference.

Dundee Utd v St Mirren tomorrow. 0-0 at Tannadice on Thursday, although missed it, it sounded a stinker. All to play for tomorrow on BBC Alba.

Absolutely disgraceful performance from United but both teams are honking.
For a change the referee was on our side and still we couldn't win.

You'll be hard pushed to see four worse penalties in your life. I've never seen any team miss four in a row before.

The cruel system , United finish second, play six extra games and come away empty handed. Missing their first 3 pens is not good.
At least the Dundee Derby will return next season.

I watched the extra time and penalties and the standard was dire.I went to the Chorley v Spennymoor '6th division' play off final a couple of weeks back and the standard there was light years ahead of that shit at Love Street today.

Hard lines, Shedders.

Those penalties were utterly atrocious from United. Big Oran's done a solid job at St Mirren, they were utterly doomed at Christmas. I think if Robbie was given the job at United earlier, they would have gone automatically up.

Still, I'll see you at Gayfield next season Shedders. :)
