Funny-it was a massive tournament, cementing their progress when they nearly won the world cup
Now the sponser is Michael Mouse.

This fucking obsession playing out the back drives me bonkers.

Has Barkley been any good at Chelsea this season?

I know he's been in and out of the side.

Strongly fancy Portugal to beat Holland in the final.

He’s been very in and out in terms of performance, can play a good game but he’s got that error in him all the time. I thought he was ok during the game but he looked fucked in ET.

Yeah. He gave a fine pass for the disallowed goal. That's the kind of areas you want to see him, not hovering in front of his own back four.

Barkley does have occasional highlights in games but overall he isn't good enough. He wasn't even good enough to earn a regular spot in the Everton team so he's definitely not up to Chelsea or England standard.

The penny seemed to drop with Sarri in the latter part of last season but Southgate hasn't twigged...yet.

The Nations League is the international version of the Intertoto Cup , or the FIFA World Club Cup without the glamour and prestige.

Now that was a tournament with winning. Especially as I was living in France at the time and got to wind up a few people about it. Naturally, they returned the compliment with interest when France won the WC the following year..whilst England revelled in glorious failure again as the 90s closed with a whimper.

France 98 was the last great World Cup.

Capped a memorable summer.

To think it was 21 years ago!?!

Waving goodbye to the tournament with an ultra-gay back-flick of Beckham's foot on Simeone.
