In terms of teams, the biggest disappointments of the week for me were Fulham and Arsenal.

I'd heard all the hype about The Cottagers and was convinced to stick two of their midfielders in my starting XI, thinking they should do well at home to Palace. Seri 2 points, Sessegnon 2 points.

I've got City's goalie and their defender Mendy in my squad but they were unused subs, as I thought this new-look Arsenal side, apparently on the verge of a bright new dawn, would at least score in their home game against them! Ederson 8 points, Mendy 15 points!

I shouldn't moan too much because I won my head-to-head and had a half-decent first week in the end.

Gameweek one: one to find out the truth behind the rumours and stories of clubs and players not being fit or ready for the season start. Lots of points flying about for those who got it right, like Jose Foreignho who got 96 points and goes top. I had 33points wasted sitting on my bench, I'm sure others had the same experience.

Gameweek 5: Hazard gets a hattrick and those who sail in him go bananas. Otherwise Aguero goes off injured and Salah, Kane etc do nowt. The Charlatans take top spot with the manager surely cursing he only had Hazard as vice captain beneath Aguero. What next after the beginning of the Champions League games?
