Been a magical festival. Pretty grim what happened to sir erec, but aside from that, just raining money.

It's fillies day at Aintree I note, or should I say old nags day. What a fucking mess.

I'll go for the granny by a short head.

I shall mosey into my annual foray into the land of gambling tomorrow. To ease my Catholic guilt, any winnings shall go to Charity. And why not as Charity is a good girl, she never charges me as much as she does the other guys. :P

My annual foray into the land of gambling has yet again ended in failure. I've been trying for forty years to pick a winner in this race and the my best return is third placed on two occasions back in the 90s. Today I bet my usual £1 each way on three horses, two of which fell at fence 20, the other is probably still running.

In addition Albion lost 2-0 at Millwall earlier in the afternoon, managing to miss a penalty, score an own goal and get a player sent off all in the space of twenty second half minutes.

Ah well' y'all keep smiling. :P

Funny kind of a race.....Royal Marine was given a terrible ride and was a fast finishing fourth.

I wouldn’t write him off.

I liked the look of that UAE horse in the Wood Ditton,

Be interesting to see him go for the Dante.
Alex Young, Howard Kendall, Andy King, Timmy Cahill, Dixie Dean and Mike Parry.....we'll never see the likes of them again.

ITV coverage of racing has been a revelation.

And they seem to be on a mission to cover every track in the country.

Musselburgh on today.
