Basic mistake at half-time was not bringing Lukaku on instead of Mata.
The big man would have taken the excellent Thiago Silva out of his comfort zone.
Would have stopped them coming forward in droves.

I'm sure MikeBV will be along soon to deliver his measured analysis of the game, rather than only coming on here when Liverpool lose, as per...

Utd fans pre-PSG: Ole's a magican, I can see us beating PSG, he're really turned around the team and we're going really far in the CL
Utd fans post-PSG: Ole can't work miracles, we needed a reality check, we were never going to beat PSG, squad needs massive investment.

United need to spend money. What did they spend on Lukaku and Pogba ? Brass buttons ?

Bought terribly in recent years. Since Fergie left they have wasted a fortune.
Likes of Fred, Lukaku and the wages paid to Sanchez, represent a total waste.
Guess commercially they can keep on spending but it's going to take some wise investment to make them really competitive again.
Battling for 4th place is the height of their ambition for the foreseeable future.

I'd rather have Son in the team than Kane.

Kane gets plenty of goals (from plenty of sots) but Son's all round game seems much better.

Son is top.

And a top lad too, according to "H".

You can never tell with German teams and how they return from their Winter break. Dortmund seem to be struggling since the season started again and Bayern are clawing the points back.

Fair play to Spurs though. A comfortable win.

Be interesting how the fixtures will be squeezed to accomodate the World Cup in Qatar.

There seems to be a surreal air of mourning and collective disillusionment on BT Sport with Shellic losing 2-0 at home to a quality Valencia side. :? Is it a media thing where a Shellic should win handsomely against the best sides in Europe? Why the sense of self entitlement? Really can't understand it, even Liverpool don't get the media bandwagon rolling although they do come close.

The legend that is the Celtic home support which turns the oppositions legs to jelly does not apply to teams used to playing in the cauldron of the Bernabau and Camp Nou.
