LOL at da pule. They were going to take this season by storm both domestically and in Europe but losing tonight against an expensively assembled side in a Tom Noddy league having lost their two previous away games.

Most people. I dont really understand the embarrassment of losing away to one of the most expensively assembled teams in the history of football though.

Nah, not having that.
Liverpool would have been one of the fancied teams, but to say they were going to take the league and CL by storm, ignoring the likes of Man City, Barca etc is just daft.

Yes. Expecting a team to be a title contender and a contender for the champions league is taking those competitions by storm.

That phrase doesnt mean "they will definitely win."

No, that's not right.
A contender means you have a chance of winning something, whereas to take a competition by storm means to boss the other teams and win it pretty comfortably. Not the same thing.

Nonsense.

Liverpool took the champions league by storm last season. Because it was surprising they got to the final.

Dont argue with me, take it up with the entire english media, I cant be arsed to get into one of your squabbling matches, pick on someone else today.

That's odd, I don't see any trolling, just points of view. Just because a poster decides that they don't want to pursue the discussion any further, doesn't mean they are trolling surely. I see that as a sensible move, to save the thread possibly going down the shitter
