Was out for a meal in yarm with a mate & wifes the night he signed for Boro, was only 4 of us in venue & Gazza walked in alone.He heard us talking football & asked to join our table , lasses never knew who he was , he was superb company , polite etc , said his biggest prob was how when people were nice he asked himself "what do they want?" , was waiting for Jimmy to pick him up but Jimmy was lost in a new place

His phone went,he thanked us & left , when we went for the bill a hour later , guy said "Mr Paul has paid it "
