I'm utterly baffled at the bookies odds on this. England were 12/1 to win at close of play last night, I wouldn't be tempted at 120/1. West Indies are 1/4, a return of 25% by tomorrow.

Do your own research etc etc, but that's buying money.

We'll either be 160 all out or 460 all out. If we can bat well for a while we might drag it out, a couple of early wickets and they'll give in.

England could bat for another four sessions to earn a draw, but six? Nah, not having that.
They certainly won't be chasing down 630 to win a Test match, that's for sure.

That said, just looked at the weather forecast for Sat/Sun

Good spot that. Explains the West Indies odds, but makes England's seem beyond ludicrous.

I went to watch a test in Trinidad in my younger days. Had a great time, although it's not the tourist trap like others. We won the test match too. Also got to meet Lara and Clive Lloyd and all of the teams as they all drank in the same place.

Jennings has technical problems and flaws all over the shop, and he bats like he is in a straight jacket. Why is he opening in a Test Match in the Caribbean, well in any place actually?

Leach for Rashid the only change for Thursday. The rest should be given a chance to atone for the shambles of the last 4 days.

We are an arrogant bunch of pricks aren't we. Obviously I'm generalizing. I'm no massive creegit (partly because I'm too poor to afford Sky Sports) fan but I got the impression that all the former player-pundits, commentators and analysts dismissed the Windies as a bunch of 'lazy ni**ers' who sat around on the beach eating coconuts all day and that this series would be a breeze. Seems that the players bought into the post-colonial stereotype too. Oh what glee to see the white mans wicket fall apart.

Pretty much what that fat cunt Alan Brazil insinuated.

5 minutes before the first test, Ed Smith over-ruled both Root and Baylis and dropped Broad. Doesn't bode well that one test later he's done a u-turn. Similarly not sure any point in throwing Denly in here - if he fails in these two remaining tests we will likely go into the Ashes with no settled openers.

Still all those people moaning about Cook out staying his welcome, must be loving the new look stability of the England opening partnership.

With opening bowlers in test cricket having their best average since 1959 and the averages of opening batsmen falling every year, we may as well get Jason Roy to play some red ball cricket in early summer and pitch him in. May as well have a biffer succeeding 1 in 5 innings than the dross we're sending out now.
