I really don't say the point of this one-day cup. Why don't they mix it up and have three groups of six, three from the North and South in each to visit some different grounds? Unless we reach the semi-finals of either, we won't be playing Surrey, Essex, Somerset, Hampshire this season but we'll play all the Northern teams at least twice across this and the T20.

I know the T20 has to be regionalised but surely vary this competition a little bit?

This didn't look good at all. He's hard as nails and tried to bowl but had to give up.

Thank fuck the championship is back this week. Been a fascinating, low score match between Essex and Notts. Just like last season, Essex have a fantastic bowling attack ... but our batting is poor. We only need 105 to get our first win of the season, but we could easily still stuff this up.

For any Broad watchers out there - he bowled well in the first innings and made the crucial breakthroughs at the top of the order. Wonder how many games the English management will let him play prior to the ashes?

Another straightforward win for Lancy, next up Worcs on monday.

Disappointing game for Saqib Mahmood who didn't take a wicket after bowling so well in the Royal London pyjamarama. Haseeb's early season form has tailed off.

We're going straight back down again. Smashed out of sight by Hants. Disgraceful performance.

Lancy lose a whole day's play because a cover leaked at some tinpot ground used by Gloucestershire.

As fucking per, a good bowling effort in the first innings is made redundant by a dreadful batting display and now probably a defeat to another poor team.

Good old Leicestershire, never fail to disappoint.

Watching Cook patiently compile a meticulous century yesterday - an innings that is the difference between the two teams in this Essex Kent match - makes me wonder how much we'll be missing him when the Ashes come around.

This Essex Kent game is turning into a real thriller. Essex only need 3 wickets now to secure the win.

Been impressed by Bell-Drummond.

Essex playing at home today. On a Sunday. I mean, wow, is this some sort of miracle?
