Good result yesterday. I'd take five washouts if offered.

Sensational stuff.

The usual 'it's only a bash' caveat, but Tom Banton looks a real star in the making.

26 wickets today at Canterbury. Kent bowled out for 40, their lowest ever total against Essex. Another win to keep us clear at the top of the table. Now over to Somerset to see if they can win tomorrow.

12 wickets in the match for the 'other' Cook on his return from injury. A top bowler, with hopefully a long and successful career ahead of him. Unlike the mercurial Mohammed Amir who has retired from red ball cricket today - his final act to score the winning run for Essex. He's too good to be playing white ball cricket for the rest of his career. A waste.

So who will sign Haseeb Hameed? Or is it time for him to find a new career? I hope not. :(

20/20 a bit of a shambles this season. You have Lancashire at home in the quarters playing at Durham. The finals day being on 21st September, almost Autumn

Isn't there a ground in Lancashire capable of hosting this match? Blackpool or Liverpool?

Don't have the infrastructure to host Sky.

Somerset v Essex - a likely championship decider - is 23rd to 26th September.
