A limited number of people in Scotland have an interest in cricket.
Why would it be in our news?
Anyway, LBC and Classic FM made up for it not being headline news here.

I switched to Classic FM this morning after having heard enough about the cricket on Nick Ferrari's show then had to switch Classic FM off when John Suchet's Golden Hour was devoted to English music and continuous mentions of cricket.

Not really heard of cross sport vengeance and egg chasing is a minority sport for upper class knobs so I can’t imagine it will count for much. Plus it’s in Japan and you can’t imagine fights breaking out over it.

Precisely.

How this perversion is still categorised as a sport is a mystery.

ICC changed it for these WC Finals. A strange decision.

So, England didn't really win it; it was given to them?

Yet in past Euros/World Cups ,matches could be decided on a toss of a coin.

Indeed, Chelsea won and lost games on the toss of a coin in the 60’s in the Inter-Cities Fair Cup.

Were they televised?
And if so, did Neville Neville go "OOOOAAAWWWHAAAHHHA" when the coin came down each time?

The rules were there for everyone to read before the tournament.
Don't remember people complaining then.
