10 of top 11 football stories on bbc.co.uk are about irrelevant wimmin's game waffle. only exception is #10, which is about messi and argentina. BBC are spending this summer "changing the game" for women's sport and "altering perceptions". This involves churning out non-stop shite about each and every female sporting event, relentless lying about the quality, and filtering out any negative or dissenting views whatsoever.

As you're paying for this valuable service, I hope you can appreciate and make the most of the golden opportunity to check your thinking.

The level of coverage has been pretty ridiculous, across many media outlets.
I watched some of the games, but I just found the pace incredibly slow and the skill level rather mediocre, which makes the gid of the commentators and pundits all the more grating.

Yep, been a huge success but that’s what free to air TV will give sport. An audience.

No surprise that the ECB are desperate to get that sort of coverage if England make the cricket final. The football has totally overshadowed the cricket though the set up of that tournament hasn’t really helped.

I expect that everyone is looking forward with eager anticipation, now that the football has finished, to the Netball World Cup.
From next week, every afternoon on BBC.

Probably as the manager[ess] is Ms. Neville.

It’s on Sky as well so any criticism will now be minimal.

Oh well. 77,768 there, thought it was a 90k sell out.

Hey though, I was one of the 80,203 at Wemberley for USA v Japan in 2012. With my then lovely Nadia and it was a good game, though Japan lost.

Ha. Lovely goal by Germany to likely win 2-1.

Wow, German manager looking stunning in hat and scarf. :)

This is the lead sports story on The Guardian website now.
Ridiculous.
Even the BBC was at it (with its "Ooh, record attendance!" sub-head).

You see, Zambo, I do slag off The Grauniad and the Beeb sometimes

Not for the first time, Sky are not telling the truth. See posts above.

If I was on Twatter I would tell them, someone will.
