When the fake fixtures were shown yesterday, there were comments in one newspaper from Liverpool supporters complaining that 'yet again' the fixtures had been manipulated to give them a difficult start to the season, having to travel to Burnley!

We've only got Liverpool as a big home match in the first half of the season. We probably will be largely down when we go into the new year.

Hello?

Aston Villa v Everton on August 24th?

Only a resumption of the most played fixture in English top flight league football history.

Villans will instinctively know they are back in t’ big time when the Grand Old Team, their most enduring opponent, rocks up at the Park.

A team possibly sitting top of t’ table at that early stage of the season as well :drinkers:

A fixture played before Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal and the rest even existed.....before Liverpool became our bastard offspring.

harrumph.....I am surprised at you, Mr. Lawns :box:
Alex Young, Howard Kendall, Andy King, Timmy Cahill, Dixie Dean and Mike Parry.....we'll never see the likes of them again.

Fantastic Pet. A grand old ground no doubt, my only trip to the ground was in 1989 to watch an FA Cup replay between Everton and West Brom which your lot won 3-2 in a thriller. Would like to go to this fixture when I’m back from Italy ol’ Pet.

Thanks old friend. Haven’t been to Italy for nearly thirty years. My little lad’s keen on going to the Juventus stadium as he loves Ronaldo.
