You could ask yourself who virtually ran the club’s finances, managed them from the boardroom, transitioned their move to a new stadium, spoonfeed players who couldn’t be arsed to put in a shift and take shit constantly from cunts in the media.

Ferguson was able to crowbar his management style into the club to make it their DNA. Wenger revolutionised the club successfully over about five or six years. Wasn’t able really to sustain it and the club steadily went downhill.

I don't think Wenger helped himself by buying every diminutive ball playing midfielder there was..Rosicky, Hleb etc when it was clear they needed a strong centre back (not Mertersacker) and could have signed Vardy a few years ago. Wenger had enough clout to call the shots on signings, just became very fixated on doing it in a particular style and lost his way towards the end like Clough did at Forest.

We couldn't have signed Vardy. He didn't want to play for us and turned us down.

A huge risk for Arteta. He’s developed good coaching experience at the Emptihad. Not sure this would be the right move for him right now and there he would have to change the culture at Arsenal which probably would lead to better fortunes.

With City he looked like he'd been wheeled out just to help fill the bench. Just sat there with a dead pan expression for 90 mins and then wheeled back in again. Let's hope he displays a little more personality with Arsenal.

He’s no Big Dunc. Could be a terrible appointment.
