I think he will be, and it was ironic that his first comment was about energy, when he spent long periods of games he played for Arsenal doing fuck all as a defensive midfielder, particularly in the latter period of his time there.

His first action should be to get rid of dross like Luiz and Mustafi in January, otherwise they will concede shedloads.

Now, I like Arteta, but someone going to mention his hair?

Two ex Gers as managers at this match, I just realised.

Rupe. Happy with that?

Tbh, i wasn't happy when Arteta was up for the job after Arsene Wenger's sacking. But Arteta looks like he knows what he wants from his team. Only time will tell.

Arguably our best player over the two games against Chelsea and Man Utd. But i take your point, he's not been great, too many errors. I think Arsenal will limp through to the end of the season with him, then we'll see a new CB pairing next season.

Paul Pogba cost £89m, therefore he'll win the 2019/20 Ballon d'Or ....

P.S. Arteta, did alright on New Year's Day.

Looks like he's staying, very popular in the dressing room, plus Arteta wants him to stay. Only one game, but he looked the part against Utd.

Have to admit Luiz played well over the holiday period. More of an attitude problem with him maybe, and possibly would be better off in a defensive midfield role.

With Calum Chambers out for nine months, Rob Holding only just back from injury and struggling to find any sort of form, why not ?

Not really, most still want him gone.

But that said, he was given a standing ovation after the Utd game....
