It's called the Champions League therefore the champions of every country should qualify automatically.

If a country's co-efficient is so low that only their champions teams is allowed in then so be it but that team should go straight in to the main competition.
Scotland's teams have indeed been abysmal in the CL overall but I'm not talking about us specifically and I don't particularly care about Celtic or The Rangers getting pumped in European competitions.

As far as I'm concerned the champions of every country under UEFA's umbrella should automatically qualify for the competition proper.
Otherwise, rename the fucking competition to the Cunts With Lots of Money and Power League.

Celtic were good going forward yesterday and there is a lot to be excited about. Trouble is if you score 3, you've got to try and only concede 2.

Need both a right and left back ; Ajer will probably end up going to England or abroad at some point. Ralston isn't good enough ; Boli - the new Belgian-Congolese lad - needs time but from the three games he's played, he has looked hopeless. The Israeli lad too looks alright.

Can't expect to be qualifying for group stages etc when the board just sit on the cash.

It looks like it'll be AIK Solna of Sweden next in the Europa League. Two Celtic pals want Celtic out ASAP from this competition which is ridiculous, IMO ; the best they are ever going to do in a CL format is last sixteen. The Europa League they surely can have a proper go at - won't win it but I don't see why they cannot get to the QFs of that.

They shouldn't even be in the Europa League. Nor should 3rd place from the Champions League be in the Europa League either. Bring back some newer version of the Cup Winners Cup - and still all the rejects from the CL in that 8th placed in England, Italy, etc if they want a runners up cup.

Tuesday - Champions League
Wednesday - Europa League
Thursday - Runners Up Cup - and rejects from the CL and EL early stages.

I'd rather go back to the old European Cup, Cup Winners Cup and UEFA Cup set up.
Hell, I even enjoyed the Texaco Cup.

Hope Celtic and Rangers get through to the group stage because it means they will play on the sunday after each Euro game.
Oh and Wolves would get out of the group stages no bother.
You can only live in the world you know. The rest is just wishful thinking or paranoia.

Good start in the Wolves vs Torino match. The visitors look strong going forward but no goals yet.

Magnificent stuff from the Hoops last night ; and thoroughly great fans the AIK lot singing all the way to the end! A Boney M song belting out for the last 20 minutes or so.

Lennon is bringing a lot of dross though - someone who can't get a game at Stoke ; and some other Leicester nobody. Just stick with the likes of Christie, McGregor, Griff, and give Bayo a game too.

Rangers through as well, both given difficult groups - although Celtic have Cluj again.

Porto, Feyenoord, Young Boys, RANGERS

Lazio, CELTIC, Stade Rennes, Cluj.

Had Celtic drawn Young Boys, it would be stand by for a Jim Torbett pun.

For the Sassenachs :

Group F: Arsenal, Eintracht Frankfurt, Standard Liege, Vitoria

Group K: Besiktas, Braga, Slovan Bratislava, Wolves

Group L: Manchester United, FC Astana, Partizan Belgrade, AZ Alkmaar

Half the Wolves' team who are Portuguese will be looking forward to the away trip to Braga. A chance to see the relatives.

Don't think so but there is so much hype around Mason Mount...Why? He looks no better than Josh McEachran and look how he turned out.
