Fair dues :D

I had some prick asking me if I was a Traveller a year ago "De ye lay the tarmac pal? You look like one of those guys." Some east-coast lawyer probably off his face on drugs wanting me to rise to it.

As for the game - Celtic are a Scottish club (sitting on their arse, counting the savings in the bank rather than buying players). Broony is finished at this level ; need a right and left back - Calum McGregor at left-back is ridiculous. Bain isn't anywhere near good enough at European or International level (for the national team). Europa League is about our level.

See you in the last 32 for the Old Firm Europa League glamour tie. :D

Really though, Champions League who cares! It's a nonsense tournament.Leverkusen, Atalanta, Spurs all seeded above the champions of Scotland ; Hungary ; Croatia ; Serbia etc is utterly riddiclous and hardly the ''Champions League'' at all. I won't watch it until the knock out rounds, it's become a chore and no doubt it'll be the same old teams who get through.

I think Maguire is the type of player who can help Utd go far in the Europa League.

Er, OK.
Kev's correct in the sense of it being a misnomer of a tournament.

It really is ridiculous that the champions of any country (even if it is Celtic) have to qualify when teams that in some cases finished 4th, 5th or whatever in their league automatically get in.

Now, can Progres do a Cluj? :D

Maguire is an improvement over what they had last season.
But they were stiffed by Leicester.
He cost more than van Dijk, who is a better player by a country mile.

Not really.
And the reason Scotland only gets one place and has to qualify is because Scotland have done fuck all in the CL for years now.
If Celtic won the competition, they might get two spots, or get automatic route to group stage etc

UEFA doesn't just pluck the qualifiers out of a hat - they base each country's situation on past performance.
