The buyers; [lifted from the MEN]

Who is Rory Campbell?
Campbell is an Oxford graduate and well connected in football and has been working in the professional game as an analyst for a number of years, working with West Ham. He is the son of former Labour Party spin doctor and lifelong Burnley fan Alastair Campbell.
He is also a keen long-distance runner, having won the Hampton Court Half Marathon in 2014, receiving a £500 sponsorship from Sir Alex Ferguson for his chosen charity - a cancer research charity in memory of late Labour Party strategist Philip Gould.

Who is Harry Newman and what is C&N Sporting Risk?
Newman, a former inter manager at Barnet, is the co-owner of C&N Sporting Risk, which Campbell helped to set up in 2016.
The company describe themselves as "experts in the creation and facilitation of product pricing through complex technical data analysis for a wide range of companies engaged with both football and other leading sports industries"
In an interview with the Independent, Campbell praised the Moneyball approach of Brentford owner Matthew Benham, which suggests something similar could be in store for Bury if Campbell and Newman take over.
That Labour Party mention will upset a few on here.

Two times FA Cup Winners Bury have gone . 6-0 in one final .

League One reduced to 23 teams and all fixtures with Bury scrapped. (Three relegations instead of four this season)

Feel so sorry for the people of this northern town . Are they supposed to follow Bolton(God forbid) ,Salford ,City, Macclesfield or even worse Manchester United ? Hopefully a phoenix will arise from the ashes and follow the example of Accrington. As for Gigg Lane ,an
opportunity for housing developers.

Let's hope it's a wake up call, but somehow I doubt it.

They would have saved themselves if they hadn’t been paying out ridiculous wages for a League One/Two club over the last 6 years.

Previous owner Stewart Day is getting away scott free this morning when it was his regime that were dishing out silly contracts left, right and centre. I wouldn’t be surprised if Stewart Day and Steve Dale were cahoots in this whole sorry saga.

He used to be on the Sports Bar with Satin and Cundy a few years ago quite regularly giving updates about the club.

Bump. Congratulations to Bury. First league game back at Gigg Lane today:
Maybe she's born with it, maybe it's Maybelline.

Did you intend to put a comma between Salford & City - ie. Salford RLFC & the unmentionable lot from east Manchester.
Or did you mean Salford City, my local team?
