Paisley was better than Shankly anyway.

Paisley was fantastic but he was taking over the players and infrastructure Shankly created.
Hard to tell how he would have done from scratch.
Klopp is certainly on a par with those two but he did inherit a lot done by Rodgers.

He did a pretty substantial rebuild on the side Shankly left. Kept the core and improved the rest. Also allowed players like Heighway to develop beyond their previous roles.

Made some superb and perceptive signings, notably below-the-radar players such as Ray Kennedy.

These comparisons mean nothing but it is currently very happy times under Klopp. The biggest compliment to him and the coaches is that he can fine tune the tactics and playing style on a game by game basis, based on previous performances, the players who are available and how he believes the opposition are going to line up.

He is now doing lots of things that Paisley and Shankly could never do but, on the other hand, he hasn't had to do lots of things that they would have to do on a daily basis. The future is a bright as his teeth.

Gomez, Milner, Lovren, Origi and Firmino are what's left of Rodgers signings at the club.

They've all contributed to varying degrees under Klopp. Only 2 are guaranteed to start.
