Good Matches to watch

Post by ccreds »

I've been watching England v Holland 1988 and enjoyed it. Finished 3-1 to Holland but England for most of it played well. First ten minutes hit the post with Lineker and again with Hoddle on about 35 minutes. Good battle by both teams, good enjoyable game.

Also England v Holland 1996 and again enjoyed it. Good passing first half by both teams and pretty even at that point then England went on to win 4-1.

Both I believe on Daily motion channel.

I'll never criticise a Burnley v Brighton 'Super Sunday' again.

Charlton-Sunderland 1998 - Just brilliant...beats any World Cup or European Championship final..both sets of supporters contributed to an outstanding atmosphere....Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant.

Another great match is the Tromso-Chelsea game from back in Autumn 1997...Amazing amazing game...full of drama...game took place right north around arctic circle in heavy blizzards. There were times during the game when suddenly the snow had cleared off the pitch but then the heavy blizzards would start again. ..truly bizarre...Ruud Gullit wanting the game called off and getting very irate and angry. ...then Vialli to the rescue scoring twice and Jonathan Pearce going mental on channel 5 with way he was screaming Vialli, Gianluca Vialli.

A more recent one, being Sir Alex’s match in charge at West Brom.

Good matches to watch are any that Arsenal lost, due to the reaction on Arsenal TV.

Now its Man City, as a regular poster disappears for a few days.
