Only people who genuinely care about this result are the "magic of the FA Cup" nonces.

Players didn't look arsed whatsoever. Who can blame them.

A first season Prem team likely to finish mid-
table being too good the the cup.

Come on, Zippy,. Leeds and Bielsa are better than that and sure other fans think a run is good. And every single payer on TS has always talked about a winning mentality and getting a winning habit.

Amd all saying about wanting to play games, more means less training.

Ignore my immediate post match ramblings, CJ :)

Personally, I'd of loved a cup run. But it's clear and obvious Bielsa and the team did not. There was a reason we could only muster one shot on target against a L2 side. The players weren't arsed. The half time changes to move to an U23 back four against a first XI who play week in, week out was asking for trouble.

But this is Leeds - statistically one of the country's worst cup sides. The ultimate 3rd/4th round team that have been on the receiving end of plenty of lower league upsets.

Will the bookies sue the big clubs for "not trying" ? May borrow a score from Reg and lump it on Marine.

You what? Are you under the spell of cult leader Bielsa and how remarkable Leeds are just fifteen games into their first season? Leeds suddenly think they’re world beaters yet a few seasons ago, they were slumming it alongside other failures in the Championship. Leeds have ideas above their station like a load of Premier League sides in the FA Cup. Yes, we all like Leeds with their impressive attacking play but they’re disrespecting the cup like other Premier League tossers.

Villa lost their entire first side on Friday night because of Covid and played their U18s and U23s yet Klopp being an utter cunt decided not to put out an equivalent side, choosing instead to play near enough a full side.

I actually don't disagree with you here. Bielsa seemed to use the game to try out new ideas, players and formations but picked the wrong day. What the man has done for our club is phenomenal but he isn't above criticism. The fans saw a good opportunity to do well in a tournament we seldom get any kind of run in and that opportunity has been lost. Having an inexperienced, U23 level back four against a team who plays together week in week out was suicide.

And why would Klopp put out reserves and show an act of charity to Villa? He's got a trophy he wants to win. Unfortunate what happened and the Villa kids did themselves proud but the Covid outbreak wasn't Klopp's problem.

Spurs tend to win trophies when the year ends in a "1".

2011 ends in 11 so that doesn't count. Might fool a few people though.

That's bullshit, Lawns-o.
Should we have given you a couple of goals headstart, too?
Don't remember your lot playing the kids when we had to play two games in 24 hrs in different continents.
You played your best team, as you should have done.

Sorry sub, I didn’t express myself clearly. Wasn’t expecting Klopp to put out a reserve or junior side, he had no obligation to do so. It’s the complaints that he (and other managers of major clubs) makes about fixture congestion when he has the advantage of rotating his sides and he’s still trying to have five subs per match which makes it a very unlevel playing field.

That said, Liverpool played the game without rubbing out faces in it and conducted themselves with dignity so no complaints whatsoever with the players. That includes James Milner’s interview after the game.
