A bank promoting it tells all.

Note that no promotion or relegation is proposed,

There's already a thread about this, vv.

Stanloi nails it.

JP Morgan involved in talks to debt finance the league. Man U will have a debt greater than the US after their forage in Iraq. Woodward's obviously called up his own mates.

Give the gig to this cunt, Jordan Belfort then.

Why's the 'big six' from last weeks reports been shrunk to the 'big five' in today's reports about the ESL? :?

Who's been removed and why?

Who would the five be then???

Man City, Man UTD, Liverpool, Chelsea, Spurs ???

Or would it just go on whoever finishes in the top five positions.

Spurs in the European League. Oh do fuck off (not you gheko & Steve :) ). The Audi Cup win last year clearly has a great pull.

It is beyond disgusting that these people are floating this idea, just like last week’s “Big Picture” fiasco, at a time when the world is in crisis in the midst of a pandemic which shows no sign of ending, which is killing people on an industrial scale and laying waste to economies in ways not seen since the Great Depression.

When no one knows when any of us will get to go to a football match again.

And all they can think about is how to get even richer by destroying the fabric and competitive nature of our sport.
Alex Young, Howard Kendall, Andy King, Timmy Cahill, Dixie Dean and Mike Parry.....we'll never see the likes of them again.

One would think that the delay to fans going back into the grounds this month, followed by the horrendous £14.99 PPV move along with the change to the FSG as well as the ESL idea is all an orchestrated plan to give legs to this. A pretty disgusting plan really. We really can see that the fabric of football in this country i.e. history and fans don't matter one jot. Fuck United, Liverpool, City, Chelsea, Spurs, RM, PSG, Barca, Bayern and the other elite. Fuck them all.

Happy to play the other members of the EPL and the 'lesser teams' in Europe if need be.

How did Spurs get into that elite company?

They have won two league titles in their entire history, and the last one was 1960-61...

Thank God Rupe isn’t here to vocalise that fact.

If it was a euro league with 4 of our teams in it, with relegation and promotion from the premier league, would people go for that??

Could be good. No idea how the us and dons would work.

If such a think became real, you'd have to have a decent variety of countries involved, for interest value. Three teams maximum from one country.

I'd go with:

Manchester United
Liverpool
Barcelona
Real Madrid
Atletico Madrid
Juventus
Milan
Roma
Bayern Munich
Borussia Dortmund
Paris SG
Marseille
Ajax
Zenit St Petersburg
Olympiakos
Besiktas
Porto
Newcastle United

Obviously, though, that is ridiculous and will never happen.

So remove Porto for Benfica.

If it only went on current UEFA coefficients:

Bayern Munich
Real Madrid
Barcelona
Atletico Madrid
Juventus
Manchester City
Paris SG
Sevilla
Manchester United
Liverpool
Arsenal
Shakhtar Donetsk
Borussia Dortmund
Tottenham Hotspur
Lyon
Chelsea
Roma
Napoli

If it only went on Deloitte world's richest clubs latest list:

Barcelona
Real Madrid
Manchester United
Bayern Munich
Paris SG
Manchester City
Liverpool
Tottenham Hotspur
Chelsea
Juventus
Arsenal
Borussia Dortmund
Atletico Madrid
Inter
Schalke
Roma
Lyon
West Ham United
