4K TV

I've bought one, a 49 inch Celcus from Sainsburys (made in the same factory as all the mid range TVs - Hitachi JVC etc) For £370 it's an absolute bargain, the picture is stunning but of course there's not much 4K media around.

I went out and bought an amazon box (after finding out the firestick isn't 4k compatible) because they have 4K content on prime.

I watched it expecting to be blown away - and frankly I wasn't.

I can't tell any fucking difference between 4K and regular HD.

A mate of mine who works in the film industry told me that 4K is great if you go 70 inches and above, but anything smaller than that you really won't notice the difference.

Don't get me wrong, I've got an astonishing TV for £370 (my 32 inch a few years ago cost me £650 and this one is much, much better) but if I'd shelled out over twice as much for the 4K experience, I would be monumentally pissed off.

Is 4K the same as Ultra HD, or is that something different? can't keep up with all of the tech changes.

I don't have 4K but it seems you have to be sitting fairly close to notice or go very large.
