Free Video Editing Software

Anyone know of some simple to use video editing software which is free.

I would like it to do:

Combine different video clips.
Cut out bits of the video
Add voice overs
Add stills

Freemake is ok but like most free stuff these days it tries to install extra shitware and nags you to upgrade. Be vigilant, stay vigilant.

Dougvid 3000 inserts 3 minutes of an obscure 60s track at either end of the video and randomly inserts pictures of budgies.

Virtualdub - if you want I can put a portable copy up somewhere for you to download. It should already have all of the plugins that you need unless you want to start getting into some of the clever stuff.
