Pete Doherty. Melkweg, Dam. Melkweg crowd not overly impressed with Doherty 50 minutes late coming on.Started a bit folksy, then bluesy. Stuff I assume from his new band and bird.

The crowd want to hear some Libertines and Babyshambles. In encore they got it. A Carlos 6.5/10. A Dutch chap I talked to expressed similar and worse,a 6/10 and he'd never seen Doherty before. The encore made up for the less than grateful show. And we both left pondering the Dam press and twatter in Dutch for reviews knowing it ain't going to he great. Safely hotelled and chilled now

I had a summer in the US as a counsellor at kids' camp, before it became a really popular and organised business,
My camp was in the NW corner of Connecticut.
We got a day a week off and most of us hitched somewhere,
On one of my days off my "host" was going to Woodstock, so I did too. Though the stage was a very long way away!
On another of my days off I went to the ticker tape parade in Manhattan for Young, Aldrin and Collins. I will never forget that.
