I remember a previous thread on here where even the most ardent anti-pop merchants in our midst agreed 80's music was quite good in comparison to the absolute crap they are serving up now. I'm one of them.

You can list anything and I'll agree it is better than the current shit.

The human league released a record in 1979 and so did prince, but I dont think the stone roses did.

Different Drum, By Linda Ronstadt is a great song, covered brilliantly by Susana Hoffs as well, but not as good, Hoffs is one sexy lady.
