The only reason i can think of is because PJ & Duncan looks like he has Downs Syndrome, the media assume he has got Downs Syndrome and feel the need to go "aww, at least the little downer can drive, not very well, but bless him. And he's had a beer, he thinks hes people."

Honestly, I'm being deadly serious here. I can't think of a real reason for the media to go so off script and basically say drink driving is cool, as they are doing here.

I'd say he's finished.

No excuse for drink driving, even if it was from excess the night before. If I've had a skinful, I don't drive the next day or at least not until thr following evening when the alcohol should have left the system.

In one way I do feel sorry for him, though. All of his troubles seem to have started with a bothched knee operation. I'd imagine that alcohol numbed the constant pain he was in. It also led to the end of his marriage and (probably) now his career. The surgeon who fucked up the op is far from blameless, imo.

They'll be back and better than ever!

The surgeon wasn't behind the wheel of McPartlin's car, with excess alcohol in his system. The surgeon is 100% blameless. I doubt the surgeon will be named in the McPartlin's divorce proceedings either. Ant McPartlin, needs to man the fuck up and take responsibility for his behaviour.
