But I think the joke is on those who watch COB and think it's teaching them something. Like Ali G did when people thought he was serious and real.

My lady loves it, finds it hilarious. But she's foreign.
After a few minutes of the first one, I thought it rather silly.
The supposedly naive questions become rather tedious and the mispronunciations rather laboured.

But seriously, it's meant to go over a few people's heads which is always a good vein of comedy.

Yeah, 30 minutes of this sort of thing is about the limit, but a whole series is just tedious. Diane Morgan is much more entertaining as herself or in other comedy things she's done.
