The member of the audience insisted he was offended by comments from the comedian and presenter after Mr Forde implied people who voted to leave the European Union “fly the Union Jack and talk about our great history”.

The crowd member exclaimed: “I find those comments quite offensive actually about the people voting Brexit because they like the Union Jack and our history.

"I voted to Brexit for the future not for the past.”

The brilliant point came after Mr Forde had declared Brexit should be done the “correct way” and that having the House of Lords “scrutinise” the EU Withdrawal Bill was necessary.

The comedian stated: “The irony of Brexiteers that fly the Union Jack and talk about our great history now turning on the House of Lords when they said they wanted British Parliament to take back control.

“The British Parliament, the British Constitution is exerting itself and all I would say is that this idea Leave voters don’t want the legalisation to be scrutinised.

“I think the 51.9 per cent of people that voted leave would want it to be done in the correct way.”

Mr Forde then insisted the Government is “in hock to Jacob Rees-Mogg” as he persisted with his Remoaner outburst.

He went on: “I don’t think people want a mess fudged by a Government in hock to Jacob Rees-Mogg.

“And Chris Patton, who was once the biggest beast of the Tory Party, a Tory loyalist his whole life came out and said that this legislation on Brexit was clueless and delinquent.

“Now I don’t know whether he was talking about Boris Johnson and Michael Gove specifically or whether he was talking about the legislation.”

As the confrontation the audience member insisted he felt the UK economy would be “stronger” if it was free from the shackles of the European Union.

He explained: “I believe we will be a stronger economy.”

However the was then cut short by Mr Forde who insisted the UK would be better off without achieving sovereignty.

He said: “But the facts tell you that we won’t be.”

A Question Time audience member made a brilliant point to Remoaner Matt Forde
The Brexiteer in the crowd continued to iterate his point over the noise of the Remoaner.

He stated: “I did not vote for the past, I voted for the future and you were saying that Brexiteers voted for the past and fly the Union Jack.”

The comedian and presenter than desperately attempted to defend himself.

Mr Forde implied people who voted to leave the European Union 'fly the Union Jack'
He interrupted: “I never used that phrase.”

The Brexiteer then took aim at the House of Lords for sabotaging Brexit and instead that a “democratic chamber” was needed.

He went on: “I think it’s ridiculous that politicians are able to stuff the House of Lords with the people and the numbers that suit politicians and we need a democratic chamber.”

The House of Lords LAMBASTED as ‘ENEMIES of democracy’ by Brexiteer

BBC Question TimeBBC

A Question Time audience member made a brilliant point to Remoaner Matt Forde
The Brexiteer in the crowd continued to iterate his point over the noise of the Remoaner.

He stated: “I did not vote for the past, I voted for the future and you were saying that Brexiteers voted for the past and fly the Union Jack.”

The comedian and presenter than desperately attempted to defend himself.

BBC Question TimeBBC

Mr Forde implied people who voted to leave the European Union 'fly the Union Jack'
He interrupted: “I never used that phrase.”

The Brexiteer then took aim at the House of Lords for sabotaging Brexit and instead that a “democratic chamber” was needed.

He went on: “I think it’s ridiculous that politicians are able to stuff the House of Lords with the people and the numbers that suit politicians and we need a democratic chamber.”
