RIP Marty Balin - the co-founder and vocalist-guitarist of the psychedelic rock band Jefferson Airplane - has died aged 76

I did prefer the music of the Starship version though. Here's Marty singing Jane.

Being called Geoffrey in the 70s & 80s wasn't much joy at school - daily pisstaking, usually in Zippy or Bungle's voice.
