Good old Doug. Got what we wanted in 2006 with him going and Lerner coming on with MON. Fucked after so Doug knew best. Big Ron woke him partying like a cunt and got sacked the next day. Claret and blue through. RIP.

Peter Brackley dead at 67. Former ITV football commentator but for me he was always the voice of Football Italia on channel 4. Liked his commentary style.

RIP

Ah, that's a shame. One of the good ones.

Am sure he did the commentary on some of my beloved footy games on consoles over the years, too!

A shame...

Wasn't a 'look at me' prick like so many of the commentators have become..

Very understated, and therefore very good, at what he did..

RIP..

A comedian as well. And voice of PES alongside Trevor Brooking in it's heyday. Criminally underused as a commentator. So many of the new ones especially the shouty woman at the BBC could learn a lot from him. I am sure Seagull's fans will give him a good send off.

At least it isn't the Angelic Cherub of West Ham who as an innocent 17 year old in the 1980 F.A Cup Final was cruelly hacked down as he was about to score by the evil freckled Arsenal Ginger known as Willie Young. But The Lord and providence prevailed as Saint Trevor
headed in the winner at close range.
