I've just watched this fucking thing twice, once a couple of weeks ago when I was in France, and then this week with the missus after I kept banging on about how good it is.

It's extraordinary TV

The Story centres on a washed up detective who is now a hitman, who is found by a girl's imaginary friend to rescue her.

Everything about it works, it's dark, twisted, fucked up violence and very funny.

The cast is superb, especially Christopher Meloni who looks like he was born to born to play the role - it's so good that not only have I watched it twice, I've now ordered the Graphic novel it was based on.

Here's the trailer only an 8 part series but it's fucking genius.

Mind you, I have to say that when watching the trailer I thought this is going to be the greatest thing I've ever seen or it's going to be utter shit.

Looks like there's no grey area.

I had high hopes for it too, maybe because it didn't live up to my expectations it overly soured me on it. It might be one of those things that if I try again in a few months I might quite like.

Maybe I like it because I watched with the expectation that I was more likely to find it awful, I only watched it because the trailer made me curious and I was hooked by the end of the first episode.

See, it was the opposite with me. I read decent reviews - though there were plenty of bad ones too, but I did think it was the sort of thing I'd like - and Christopher Meloni is also a pretty decent comic actor too (Long Hot American Summer and it's new sequels) so I was psyched for it.

Just found out it’s based on a novel by grant Morrison who I used to fucking love. I’ll stick with it.

This genuinely baffles me

I fucking loved it, It's one of the best things I've ever seen on TV so I'm finding it hard to imagine that people are finding it to be utter shit. Especially someone who recommended the Goldbergs and I think the Goldbergs is fantastic as well.
