All the money is on Idris Elba. I'm not convinced. But he is one hell of a good actor. Here is a great scene from a film no one saw, but for my money it's one of the best and it showcases his acting skill.

Also the DVD sales to consider. The progressives calling for Elba conveniently forgot that Bond was a Naval Commander during WW2. Unlikely he would be black. Also some of the other contenders look too plain for Bond (like a phone shop salesman) .
