Dip in and out of the Radio 2 Drive show some days. This show has only been going for a number of months yet Jo’s had pelters on Social Media and it’s fair to say they haven’t hit it off. I reckon the blame lies with Mayo though. A lazy, mediocre twattish bog brush hair of a man who surrender himself with middle aged travel women to cover up for being an abject shambles of a man.
I like Jo, she’s a bit of a slip of a girl. Mayo can fuck off and take his coterie of travel, news and news women with him and stuck his Confessions up his arse.

You do know he's leaving and Sara Cox is doing the show from next year?

Yes I do. She’s not leaving the station but moving to an evening slot. I don’t mind her. Really don’t like Cox though. An uncouth woman with a terrible northern accent but will be quite popular on R2.

I said 'he's leaving'
I last listened to R2 when it still did the footie commentaries, so I'm not a dedicated listener. I prefer Cox to Jo Whiley though, for sure.

You like whiney My Kanks? That just about puts the tin lid on it. Coxy might be a slurring dribbling barmcake but great pair of swingers

Sorry, misread. Yes, he’s going at the end of the year. The music’s become more contemporary and has the likes of Little Mix which is something I don’t like. I hate local
radio stations for this reason and it seems that Drive as struggling to have an identity.

Whiley is an absolute abortion of a host, a prattling ninny.

Like Tony Livesey and Adrian Durham. There’s precious little variation across the airwaves at that time, sadly.

I dislike both. I find them both smug in that middle class home counties way the BBC specialises in. Their shows, especially when Mayo has callers, ("We're just travelling down to Rock in Cornwall for a large family re-union and wine tasting and stay in some yurts. Could you please play anything by Coldplay?"), feel like youre listening to Waitrose FM.
Saying that, I'd think I'd pick Whiley out of the two if forced at gunpoint, glamping in designer wellies at "Glasto" and all.

I’ve not heard any output but surely this trumps many things BBC radio have ever done, save Porky and Savage. Jobs for the boys and girls. Each other’s shitty, lazy, kryptonite.
Mayo knew about Savile.
Whiley worked with Lamacq.

Lamacq?! What did he do? Not that I like him, Christ no, but I haven't heard what he did.

Re: Simon Mayo and Jo Whiley
Radio 2 went downhill when they got rid of the posh voices that used say 'here is Mantovani and his Orchestra to play the theme from Around the world in 80 days and other hits from the cinema'.
