Re: The Liam Neeson Scandal
Anyone who doesn't know the bloke can't judge on one anger filled statement. He looks back on what he said, and admits it was a foolish thing to do and to say. Many will interpret his actions has prejudice towards all black people, and if he held the views over a period of time, then yes, I think he would be correctly judged as a racist.
However, if say, the rapist had been a biker, and Neeson said he went out looking for bikers, would there have bee the same arm waving?

A total non story pounced upon by countless groups of bandwagon jumping ‘do-gooders’ with toxic levels of behavioural traits. Bullying, victimisation and reverse racism all at play here. Social media has a lot to answer for. In the words of Ronald Charles......’just crack on, Liam’

Re: The Liam Neeson Scandal
Interesting that all the accusations of racism I've heard have come from white people, the only black persons opinion I've heard is John Barnes' who suggested that Liam's honesty about his feelings is something to be applauded. Seems to me all the white people, Piers Morgan for example are over-compensating for their own racist tendencies.

Obviously not since bikers haven't been the victims of discrimination for centuries.

That page is about some bikers in the US being annoyed that they're not allowed access to restaurants while wearing certain items of clothing related to riding bikes. I'm not sure anyone with even a quarter of a brain would compare that to the severity of racial discrimination against black people.

I don't think he's racist, but he'd have saved himself a world of bother if he'd kept this to himself. Fair play for his honesty, but the social justice warrior mob are always looking for their pound of flesh.

Re: The Liam Neeson Scandal
Jesus. What scandal? Neeson made the remark forty years ago and, although he thought about it, he didn't actually commit a crime... Wait, hold that thought: The verbal morality statute. Did he commit a hate crime?
It would be interesting to have seen the reaction if Neeson had said white instead of b.... I'm blue da ba dee da ba daa.

Re: The Liam Neeson Scandal
Funny thing....
Neeson has specialised in a number of movies in being the husband or father of somebody killed, kidnapped or whatever, and he sets about tracking down the culprits.
I heard about this story yesterday and then last night at the cinema saw a trailer for a new film with-guess what, hunts down the criminals...etc
I am sure this story is in the news totally coincidentally when he is in such a role.

It's a film about revenge, so naturally revenge would come up in a discussion that occurred to promote the film.
