Big Alan fan and resident of Partridgeland. The pedestianisation of the city centre, Gentleman's Walk and London Street is very well done. Had some trepidation about the new series, a parody of 'The One Show' type of shows, earnest male presenter and dolly co-presenter.
Just watched on iPlayer. Had its moments, some scenes worked, some didn't, but when on form, Partridge can out-cringe Dickie Madeley and Jonny Gaunt. Enjoyed the handwashing segment best with a couple of lols.
Will stick with as has potential. A Carlos 7/10.

Maybe she's born with it, maybe it's Maybelline.

Not bad for starters. His Cook Report (but with a more slapstick approach) segment was the best bit.
The Shell references should have been made more obvious by Alan shown to benefit by product placement. It would be good if he tried giving a different company free PR each week.

Yep, agree. Obvious 'Exxon Valdez' wasn't Shell but nice twatter posts blaming BP for Deepwater Horizon and admitting the Niger Delta. That segment with Simon he gave Foxtons, "The Real Estate guys" a good mention.

Are any of his old sidekicks like Michael, Sidekick Simon or Lynn is it or does he have any new ones? Looking forward to watching it.

Sidekick Simon back as well as the very welcome return of Lynn, who was being nicely bitchy (& Northern? ) about Alan's good looking co-host.
I started watching with trepidation, but was soon hooting with laughter.
Not a classic by any stretch, but a pretty damn good start to build on.
My favourite bits were (like Ghost) the digiwall fail and the seal documentary makers name thing. The hacktivist interview was good too.
I'd give it a 7 and a half out of 10.

I liked it a lot. It’s great how Alan can pop up in different formats but still works well as a character.
I used to be quite popular round here, you know.

I liked it.
My Mrs, normally a Partridge fan, thought it was weak.

Yeah, he could have gave it more Foxtons, that's what it needed, more Foxtons.

I really enjoyed it.
Not everything worked, as you said, but the bits that did were hilarious ("Married? I thought you were separated..." right at the start of the show), and that digiwall thing that Simon kept fucking up on ("No, that's the main menu!" )

Re: This Time with Alan Partridge
One of the things missing is Alan responding to a live audience like in KMKYAP on the radio and TV.
A proper game show or TV telethon would be a good vehicle.

Re: This Time with Alan Partridge
It was crap.
Why was Simon even in it? It didn't make sense that Alan would be brought in to cover for the regular host then for his local radio show assistant to be given his own segment.
