Re: This Time with Alan Partridge
So Warren has a rivalry with fellow driving instructor Daz and needs to get a website. How very now.
Maybe she's born with it, maybe it's Maybelline.

Doesn't kill a cat, gets blamed and all sorts of unamusing scrapes. Plus an added 'Wanker', tosser' and the like. Fuck, it's shite, a Carlos 1/10.
Please, Alan, in your second err episode, be good.

Re: This Time with Alan Partridge
Not a great start, but did like Alan's 'Candle in the Wind' tribute about touchy, feely John.
Hmm, it tended to get laboured like Alan's 'bring them off' gag, Ted amused though.
Kirsty Allsopp quote, "A well fed dog is a slow dog". The VTs were fair better than the 'live' stuff like the history. Later got amusing with Sam and dynamic and predictable dodgy tweets, was expecting that from the first digiwall.
For me, more laffs than the first episode and was going to rate lower but got better. Has so much potential, maybe as BG says, the lack of an audience, though a small one this time, but much is predictable for any Partridge fan.
So again, a Carlos 7/10. Hoping for better still.

Some nice wee digs at classic BBC nepotism in this one.

Though the sons and daughters of certain aged stars are the next on the easy ride.

Not at all Higgins. Nay shark, nay jumped. Was better than episode 1.
Partridge likes close situations, 6 episodes parodying shit 'One Shows' does seem a struggle, one episode is need to show the fatuity of them. One on a death of a dodgy legend maybe. The VTs are better.
One hopes it does get better, one hopes as filmed way ago, there's no post editing. #metoo Alan still thinks he could be in the with the dolly. Will an awkward pat on the arse see him back to North Norfolk Digital? Who knows?

Re: This Time with Alan Partridge
When this series was first announced there was some comment that it was going to be Alan Partridge on Brexit Britain. So unless this was misguided pre-match hype, a future episode may have a Question Time-style Brexit debate, or something.
I used to be quite popular round here, you know.

Re: This Time with Alan Partridge
There might be some Brexit to come, which even a year ago is still relevant as not a lot changed, more entrenched.
This was filmed a year ago and release was probably delayed by 'Stan and Ollie' promoting and BBCs shite comedy hour on a Monday. 'Warren', FFS.
Hence, this early 2019 release. But I'm not in showbiz circles to say. But as said, hopefully no post-editing. And Alan will investigate the big issues on a socalled trite telly show. Maybe, hopefully. Dodgy old dead types is done.

You will be mist made me lol.
Overall it's watchable enough, but nothing special. When the history guy came on at the end, I just thought Simon & Garfunkel and wished I was watching The Detectorists instead. (Partridge seems very mundane if you watch Fleabag that was also returning last night).

White Gold back tonight BBC2 10 pm
I have greatest respect for Rugby Union, they started it mid-way through the 19th century. Thankfully we grabbed it and turned it into a spectacle on 29th August 1895

That was a brilliant episode; the scripting was fantastic, as were the performances.
Her sister's BF is a total tool (yet still utterly believable).
