Yes, I know it's sad, but with a mild interest in antiques, I find Flog It interesting.
I do though get a little annoyed when the auctioneers commission is announced.
Todays auction house charge 20% [usually 15% is more common], so the seller loses this from the hammer price and the buyer finds the price they pay inflated by 20%.
I realiise the auctioneers do some research and have expenses including publicity, but 40% does seem rather steep.

Used to dabble in online auctions a few years ago. Fucked up when I thought I was putting a low reserve bid pre the auction that I couldn't watch. Turned out I'd bid and subsequently won a whole lot of 32 Boomboxes. Could barely fit the fucking things in my car and ended up giving them away or selling for fuck all on ebay.
