As I've mentioned before, I'm good friends with Guigy's sister.

Liam is a complete cunt.

I find it hard to believe you have a friend, never mind a good one.

I can still recall when I first heard Definitely Maybe...

As my mate skipped through the tracks all we said was..

"WELL THAT SOUNDS LIKE T-REX, THE BEATLES, NEW SEEKERS ETC."

We genuinely thought they were taking the piss. It sounded like a shit tribute album from K-Tel.

Probably true, but you have to put it in to the context of the time.
The biggest "indie" bands at the time were JAMC and Ride, proper shoe-gazers.
Oasis, whatever you may think of them, were positive.
Not my favourite Manc band by a mile, but they could write a tune.

They could rip off other people's tunes, yes...

They never denied it, bands before them did.

If you're playing four chords you'll always sound like somebody else.
In their heyday they wrote better b-sides than most bands a-sides, and I'm not a big fan of theirs.

I agree with that.

Definitely Maybe & What's The Story are genuinely good albums, imo

After these, not so good.

Gave his new album a listen last night. Not good. He must have a good PR team behind him as I feel the positive reviews must be in return for the many interviews he’s been giving in the run up to the release.

I’m a big fan of Oasis and BB’s comment on their B-sides is on the money. Even Beady Eye had better output than solo Liam.
