He was told to be as nasty as possible so instead did a 10 minute routine based on a jokebook from the 1940's.
Nobody in the audience knew what he was doing and Norm didn't give a fuck.

I've heard others on podcasts and even on Norm's podcast talking about it but not seen it. I should go watch it.

He's the reason I use the phrase 'is my face red over here' when I say something embarrassing. A line stolen from a wonderful show of his. Terrific comic - a rare thing for America.

An amazing amount of "American" comedians and comic actors are Canadian.

Norm, Jim Carrey, Dan Ackroyd, John Candy, Leslie Neilsen, Mike Myers, Martin Short, Howie Mandel, Eugene Levy, Michael J Fox, Tommy Chong, Seth Rogan....

In fact it would be quicker to list the actual American ones.
