Was that Hamlet on Sunday?
I was going to watch it until I read the following " ... Simon Godwin's energetic direction presents Shakespeare's most famous play in an entirely new light".
Yeah, well, it's famous for a reason, and probably doesn't need some smart-arse director mucking about with it. One wonders what the "entirely new" light consisted of. Perhaps this time they WEREN'T all stomping around in Nazi uniforms, and he kept to the words Shakespeare actually wrote :-)

Yes it was Hamlet. Not quite what Will had in mind when he wrote it.

You wouldn't have seen an abortion like this.
I've seen Othello at the RSC set in Africa with an all black cast.

Not sure what the issue is here tbh.
Macbeth is my favourite Shakespeare play.

It’s always known as the Scottish play. Being a mere butler you wouldn’t know this.

Everyone is black in Hamilton.
Alex Young, Howard Kendall, Andy King, Timmy Cahill, Dixie Dean and Mike Parry.....we'll never see the likes of them again.

They were originally called the "Blackademicals", but the name got changd due to RACISM! After the break we'll be asking "Are Newcastle a Big Club?"

Third Lanark ...
That's got to be racist, eh? I "reckon" that First Lanark was the Prods, and then probably Second Lanark must have been the Catholics, and I bet that Third Lanark should have been the BAMES, and even if it wasn't then they were probably thinking that, due to the Institutional Racism so prevalent in our re-writing of history.

It was a Regiment, you say? I bet they killed a lot of Fuzzy-Wuzzies, as I've just decided they probably called them.
