Famous Wig Wearers

Post by kevin04 »

I was watching an old Snooker program and noticed Jimmy White's hair back in the day - thinning crows nest - yet he now has the hairline of a 18 year old.

Definitely a syrup - can tell by the thinning sides, if not the way too much density on top.

What other famous and maybe not so famous (good wig wearers) are there in sport and entertainment?

Have you ever met someone or seen someone with a honker of a toupee, wig? I don't think I have or maybe it was that good, it was undecetable, but work with someone who put fabric type stuff in to his thinning locks - it usually looked OK-ish and blended in, but you'd notice it under harsh lighting or if he didn't gel it down, it was slightly lighter than his actual hair colour. Can't imagine its much fun as surely it would come off in the wash/if you did some sport/rested it on a pillow?

Any one got any hair stories? Anyone rocking the old toupee in the bailwick 'ere?

I can understand the vanity to a certain extent especially if you don't have a great head shape, eyebrows or something to frame your face a bit - and if you are overweight, a lot of baldies just look the same - but seems a lot of hassle. Then if you are super skinny, you are seen as being sick or ill.

Noticed a lot of beards these days with the shaved napper, but if you've got crap facial hair then that'll just look bad too.

The funny thing is that no-one ever said "hey look, a bald bloke has just walked in" but everyone nudges each other when they spot a wig.

I'm always surprised at the amount of folk who think he had a hair transplant.

Watched Rocketman last year and a pal's wife "Before he got the hair transplant," :)

Blatantly a wig he's wearing.
