That was their second album. Homework was their first, in 1997.
Bollards...that's the one I meant with Da Funk, Around the World etc. My fault...bought both in a double set back in '03.

I love Homework. I don't think I'd ever heard an album like it when I bought it.

Nowt much to disagree with there, Sid. Big Clash fan but Horses is getting better with age. Had tickets to see Patti this year but bloody Covid.

Can’t give my top choices as it changes every day but Ten by Pearl Jam is sublime in terms of tracking and subject matter. It sounds like a storm so many years later. Check out Gigaton if you haven’t already as it’s the first time since No Code they’ve made something comparable to their early stuff.

Yep, that’s a fair point. You either love his style or hate it. Not much in between, which is good.

Stone Roses eponymous debut album for me.

A near perfect collection of songs.

Waterfall, She Bangs the Drums, Sugar Spun Sister, I Am the Resurrection and the magnificently anthemic This Is The One among others.

I know they had contract problems after that and Brown turned into a bit of a dickhead but in truth it was always going to be downhill after that album.
Alex Young, Howard Kendall, Andy King, Timmy Cahill, Dixie Dean and Mike Parry.....we'll never see the likes of them again.
