*Not strictly true. I'm sure, despite the obscene money swashing around, they'll be presenting live Premier League coverage and heading to Qatar for the World Cup as the Russian boycott lasted long.

**By "microscope", I mean "much pontification, unworkable ideas before the half-interested other guest peters out as Calvin climbs atop his soapbox".

But, as tennisman put it so clearly, they've filled the time for a few weeks before the same show happens again. And again. And again....

What exactly are all these clubs and players doing that makes a replay or two so difficult?

Are they all involved in major house re-builds or something similar? Must the decking in the back garden take priority, FFS?

Maybe Saggers and Ray Houghton can't get their decking completed and need more time in midweek?

For a club like Rochdale this sorts out their finances for the season and probably the next one as well..
No replay, it would not have.
The efforts the club put in to winning this money spinning tie is what the FA Cup is all about.
And they get to play at Wembley.
