Actually, Matterface probably knows more about it than anyone.

I even detected a slight frustration in his voice as Ray went off on one again.

'It's a trial' said our Sam.

PS Beevor on the Soviet Role in WW2 - Fascinating but from the comments which look like many of them come from Russia, they no like heem there, although despite the fact that of course, all history is down to interpretation, I wonder how many of the Youtubers have spend half their adult lives in the archives of all the major participants, as has our Anthony?;

Players, predominantly fit young men in their mid 20's are being made to stand around for .....2 TO 3 MINUTES - Some of them WILL die.

Shirley VAR is great for TS; i.e. It gives them something to rant about for hours on end.
Saggers is alive??!!

Why are the VAR people at Stokely Park and not in a portacabin and not in the Wembley car park next to my mate Lawrence's burger van?

Stokely Park - makes it sound important, almost like a modern era version of Bletchley Park.

From signals picked up by Stokely Park, the war against replays was won. Ultimately, the Bundesliga VAR people in Koln realised that they couldn't compete with the dried egg breakfasts served to the UK VAR teams by their landladies from the B & B guest houses in which all the technicians were housed for the duration of the English season.

The new TS show - VAR BAnter.

Danny Kelly will ask Simon Jordan one question and Jordan will take 3 hours to answer it.

Jordan will be allowed to stop for breath on no more than 3 occasions.

TS will monitor the quality of Jordan's reply by analysing it against metrics which Jordan has developed.

Why should two clubs lose out? The European schedule is too spread out and it means fewer midweeks available for matches. The second round of the Champions League takes four midweeks to complete when it could be done in two. Six clubs play in Europe, 14 don't. If anything, the rest are hampered by the European schedule.

No replay, it would not have

But that's not what fans care about. No-one at Rochdale will talk fondly in ten years' time about that game when they earned a million pounds but got stuffed 6-1. Had they played extra-time in the first leg they may well have reached the 6th round for the first time ever, and that IS something fans care about, setting club records. Who knows who they'd have been drawn against? Maybe they'd have earned a million quid in that game.

Goliath normally beats David, especially if he gets two goes at it. If you'd given Pochettino (or Mo Po, as he's known at tS) the choice of playing extra time on a night when, by definition, To Ho aren't playing well and Rochdale are, or having a replay in a few days, he'd have picked the replay every time if he cared about winning the tie.

Jimmy you are spot on about the fans :!:
The club will be happy with the money and will hope it give them a boost

Saggers just claimed that Wolves will be watching Liverpool and Real Madrid with an eye on the Champions League quarter-finals.

After all the shit they've given to Arsenal recently and 24 hours of Spurs coverage since last night, turned on Saggers and what are they talking about in hushed tones? Cycling FFS.

Then again, maybe that's a relief?

Have they got David Walsh on? He's the man on this stuff.

I was rather hoping for a hard-hitting no-holds-barred investigation into the claims by that recently struck-off doctor that he hed supplied drugs to, among others, Premier League footballers. Sadly it's cycling again.
