Strangely, it's always people who've got the job that want change. Naturally she'd be delighted if another woman came in and took her work.Ned wrote: ↑Mon Jun 15, 2020 1:17 am I think we all need to remember that there were absolutely no women in sports broadcasting at all until Laura graced us with her presence.
If TS want to strike a blow for women in broadcasting, they could get JWOTS to shut the fuck up for five minutes and let conflicted Natalie say something for a change.

He has no self awareness so probably sees nothing wrong with his nonsense.

Replacing Clive Tyldesley as ITV's number one football commentator.
Clive's not happy at all.

Never cared for Tyldesley much but he's levels above Matterface.

Quite odd. You'd think he'd been told 2hrs before that clip, not three weeks.Holden Mcgroyne wrote: ↑Tue Jul 14, 2020 11:09 am Replacing Clive Tyldesley as ITV's number one football commentator.

Matterface is a shite replacement.
Still, hopefully he won't bang on about "that mythical in night in Barcelona" every five minutes or use tortured English like "ON TERMS!"

Whatever you think about Tyldesley he is way ahead of cringe
Who knows what fucking shit he is going to come out with now
To think we used to have Barry Davies David Coleman and Brian Moore
Now this dweeb

Re: Matterface
I think ITV have dropped a real clanger with this move and have been spooked because of Tyldsley's age putting him at risk of Corona etc.
They should have paid good money to get someone competent but Matterface is awful on any medium.
I reckon Clive was the last of the commentators I'd be ok listening to. Now there is literally no-one decent.
At least ITV don't have that much live football on. It's the only reason why they'd be happy with Matterface still doing his TS gig. Wouldn't have been allowed in the past.

Revamp needed probably. You need a booming voice when commentating.

Re: Matterface
Tyldesley's commentary can be grating, especially with his jingoistic stuff when England are at major tournaments or his patronising of countries like San Marino in the qualifiers.
Matterface, though, is dreadful. Seems to live for pre-scripted lines, his voice hasn't yet broken either. Awful choice.
