Having not listened to Durham for a few months it was interesting to hear how much he's increased his Mockney, consonants dropped all over the studio floor. Like the rest of Talksport presenters, and to be fair pundits and commentators across football media, he's also peppering his remarks with 'by-the-way' at every opportunity. An inane Americanism which Gough introduced to the station, by-the-way!

Durham doesn't just say 'by the way' all the time these days. He also relies on that staple of local radio jocks, and Richard Madeley, the extended 'uuuuummm' to give him thinking time ('thinking' - as if!). And he's also started that weird vocal tic whereby he adds tttttcchh sounds to the end of words, such as 'Manchester Unitedttttcccchhhh'. It's very odd. He's very odd.
