I noticed some chap called Alan Jenkins on Twitter agreeing this morning with criticism of Glory Hunters and saying that it was completely mischeduled.

I've managed to avoid the programme completely, but I've been struck by how many people I've read and heard complaining about it. Personally I feel sportspeople wreck any kind of comedy game show format, because (a) they're usually not at all funny (even though, thanks to the delusions of 'bantz,' they think they're hilarious), and (b) they can't help being competitive, which clashes with the pointlessness of such a format. But then lots of people find Fightng Talk great fun (unlike me, who finds it unbearably naff).

I dimly recall the early days of "Question of Sport", with Henry Cooper and Cliff Morgan, where it was a proper quiz, but not taken too seriously. "Banter" now rules TV. I do miss "light-hearted", rather than exchange of juvenile abuse and carefully-rehearsed ad-libs.
