Did TS not think that given the station's traditional demographic, that if the listeners wanted to be berated, scolded and hectored then they'd just retune in droves to 5live. Its exactly the same earnest drivel but seeing as they're fucking paying for 5live then they may as well get their money's worth.

Not a fan of Hugh Wotzit. The Barnes ding dong really exposed him.

People called Lee. Fat people called Lee. The main thing is to be called Lee.

Jeff Winter was a good one. He actually believed the Kop were giving him a standing ovation at his last game.

Here's a Kevin Day joke: This photo shows a vacant air-headed bimbo …. *and* Paris Hilton.

What's with the "crowd reactions" at the Cup Draw, every single tie that's, er, drawn? Do they feel obliged to make a noise to justify being there?

Did you see the draw on TV? They had fans of the clubs drawn together shaking hands in a completely normal practice for football.

I much preferred the old way of doing it, where all you could hear was the gentle click of the balls (Goldsteen!) being rattled in the bag (Goldsteen!) and then drawn out by two old blokes you'd never heard of.

Do you remember that time they had Saint and Greavesy do the draw and Greavesy put his hand into the bag to draw a ball out and said “Wait a minute .... what’s this ?” and began pulling out flags on a long piece of string like a cheap magician. Made me laugh. The FA were well pissed off apparently, making a joke of this very solemn occasion.JimmyDee wrote:I much preferred the old way of doing it, where all you could hear was the gentle click of the balls (Goldsteen!) being rattled in the bag (Goldsteen!) and then drawn out by two old blokes you'd never heard of.

Talking of Jimmy Greaves in the FA Cup draw, look what I found while looking for a "flags" clip ...
