Too chummy for my liking.

Listened to bits of this in the car on the way to the tip last Sunday (two trips to the tip, not that you give a shit)

This show tries so hard. It's too try hard. Two old men with their chums. Rinse and repeat. 70 World Cup, Carlos Alberto, Forest in the 80s, Northern Soul blah blah blah. Retro retro retro. Awful.

It's better than Glory Hunters but that's not difficult.

I think there is a space for a retro-themed football show, looking at old tournaments, kits etc but this isn't it. Somewhere in the Sunday evening deadzone would work.

tS should blatantly rip off the old Sunday Supplement and move the Press Pass into this slot. Get Saggers to present and get a load of wheezing, self important old hacks on to go through the stories.

I hate to say this, it really goes against everything I've ever believed, but Matt Forde, yes, Matt "fucking twat" Forde, came across as a perfectly reasonable person this morning, in terms of being a "fan" when he was young, as opposed to being a "celebrity fan" when he stopped going to matches.

There! I've said it! Matt Forde was Any Fucking Good!

Sorry.

I met Matt Forde in a pub about three years ago and he was a really nice bloke.

Never admitted that before on here, particularly after I spent a good few years slagging him off :D

His impressions are still shit though.

From Sneinton said Owen, a red area. Lived there for about a year in my Nottm time, it's no Forest Fields, the best place, Radford more interesting. Never could work out areas that were red or Pies, knew more Pies fans hence more trips to Meadow Lane and as per, one distastrous pre-season trip to Ilkeston. Notts won 5-0, fuck it was a mess.

Anyway, Zippy, and as per again, housemates then with a Leeds fan, from darn south, so went to the Forest v Leeds game, 0-0, so research says it was Sunday 22 Dec 1991, thought it was a midweek game as was dark so maybe it was then. No tickets, went into the Forest end and just followed all the Leeds fans who went to the gate of the still terraces and said they were Leeds and let into the Leeds end. Fucking crazy a few years after Hillsborough. Great atmosphere, shit game, and so cold.
